Simon Cowell, the evil genius record executive known for his judging stints on shows like X Factor and American Idol, is launching a global talent search on YouTube. Called “The You Generation“, the show aims to allow anyone with a YouTube account to upload audition videos showing off their unique talent.
Launching on March 20th and slated to run for a year, the show will solicit a different category of audition video every two weeks. Not limited to traditional forms of entertainment, categories will run the gamut of what is able to be showcased on video. Each video will be judged by a panel of industry professionals associated with Cowell’s Syco Entertainment.
